Love Revolution in Greece

Philip Hyldgaard — A21 Campaign

I want to give you an update on what is happening with the Love Revolution in Northern Greece. We’ve handed out 1,344 books to 11 churches and various other groups, and more will go out before the end of the month. We’ve heard great stories about churches doing special Love Revolution services where the entire Sunday service has been focused on actually doing what the book encourages us to do! Many people are amazed by your generosity and heart to bless Greece. Wherever I have gone with these books I’ve been welcomed with open hearts and arms.

Personally, I am using this book as an outreach tool by bundling it with Christmas sweets and a card for all the people in my apartment building. I believe this book has been written at such a strategic time for the church here and that it will have a massive impact on this world. The A21 team and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!

Gabrielle House Ministry

David L. Meyer - CEO Hand of Hope

Chiang Rai lies in the heart of the Golden Triangle, the area where the borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos converge. Many early immigrants in this region were uneducated and poor and entered sex trafficking, which later became a major industry of this area.

Currently, Joyce Meyer Ministries (JMM) feeds many children through our feeding centers in and around The Golden Triangle. These feeding centers have been a blessing to the children of Thailand. Through the effective teaching programs, girls and women are made aware of the perils of sex trafficking. Many of the women have taken up vocational training programs and some women have been supported financially to start small businesses.

JMM has begun construction in Chiang Rai on the “Gabrielle House,” a home for trafficked women. We hope to complete construction by the end of May 2010. Partners and friends, we are greatly indebted to you for the support and prayers that you have bestowed in the lives of these people. God bless you!

Shining the Light in Iran

Sharing the gospel message in Iran continues to be difficult. Persecutions are very high but Joyce Meyer Ministries is doing what we can to share the Gospel message through television broadcasts and other outreaches.

Pastors and Iranian house church leaders have personally seen the impact that Joyce Meyer Ministries television programs are having inside the country of Iran. Iran continues to face tremendous pressure politically, economically and spiritually. The government is coming down hard on any Christian witness, including restricting the Mohabat signal in the capital city of Tehran for the past six months.

Many church leaders have been able to download the Joyce Meyer Ministries Enjoying Everyday Life programs and duplicate them to CD’s for private study and for evangelism for a number of years. Incredible results have been achieved and many Iranians believe Iran will become a Christian nation in the not so distant future.

Returning to Peru

David L. Meyer - CEO Hand of Hope

For years I have been waiting to return to the beautiful nation of Peru. Many years ago I was here as a part of a “River of Life” campaign on the Amazon River, where Joyce Meyer Ministries built 10 churches, dug 10 wells and held evangelistic meetings. Then, a couple of years ago we had the honor of teaming up with Robert Barriger (pictured on the right in the above photo with me) and his great church to help the victims of the earthquake that affected this region in 2007.

Pastor Barriger and his church have been a joy to partner with during our outreaches here in Peru, including our medical outreach in 2008. Now I am so excited to be back with such beautiful people here and to see what the Lord has planned.

A Life Saved!

Ashley Wilkins

During our recent trip to Malawi, Africa, we were at a medical clinic in the remote village of Kasese treating patients. A pregnant woman came into the maternity ward to have her baby. It was her first baby and she had a very challenging labor and a difficult delivery. The baby was in distress and was born blue and not breathing.

Susan Phillips, who is our labor and delivery nurse practitioner, and a partner with Joyce Meyer Ministries, immediately knew what to do. She began CPR on the baby. After working hard to save her life, the baby took her first breath and the sound of her first cry filled the room. There was not a dry eye in the place! Susan was divinely placed there by God at that moment in time to resuscitate the baby when she was born. God is amazing and truly hand picks our team members for the needs we are supposed to serve when we do medical missions. We are praising God for this life spared and we give Him all the glory!

Over 500 Graduate Leadership Training

Michael Shepard - Leadership Training Coordinator

We have just completed the Million Leader Mandate leadership training in partnership with Equip and Dr. John Maxwell. We had the privilege to walk out this 3 year journey with leaders from Rwanda, India, and Cambodia. Over 500 leaders graduated through this process of training with a commitment to reproduce these principles into leaders in their world of influence. Apostle Yoshua Musasu and his wife Lydia are passing on this leadership training to their pastors throughout Rwanda, Burundi, and the DRC--Democratic Republic of Congo. Those pastors lead more than 90 churches! Pastor Jesse McCaul and his team are training the leaders of their 90 small groups and 60 provincial pastors in Cambodia.

The key leaders from India are multiplying this training through several generations of leadership transfer to ultimately affect 53,070 leaders in both the church and business sector. “Everything rises and falls on leadership,” as Dr. John Maxwell has so aptly said!
