Blessings Abound at St. Louis Dream Center

Jami Allensworth, Senior Associate Pastor-Outreach,
St. Louis Dream Center

The St. Louis Dream Center (SLDC) was blessed this week by a visit from representatives of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services, including Under Secretary Kevin Concannon. During their time here, they witnessed firsthand how the SLDC Summer Feeding Program, provided in partnership with the USDA, is benefiting many inner-city children in need of nutritious meals. This program is just one of several outreaches the SLDC and USDA partner together to offer people in the St. Louis area throughout the year.

The SLDC is an inner-city church and outreach center in North St. Louis, fully funded by Joyce Meyer Ministries. Each year, the SLDC receives funding from the USDA for its Summer Feeding Program, as well as food for their Food Pantry, meals for the after-school feeding program, and assistance for the Soup Kitchen through the Emergency Food Assistance and Soup Kitchen-Food Bank Program.

We are truly thankful for the amazing partnership with have with the USDA and how much they have helped to bless the 21st ward of St. Louis and surrounding communities. Together we are better!

Hand of Hope is the missions arm of Joyce Meyer Ministries. Our goal is simply to help as many hurting people as we possibly can, to alleviate human suffering and to help Christians grow in their faith.
