Human trafficking is a worldwide epidemic that has been going on relatively unnoticed. In the United States, the issue is much larger than you might imagine. When Joyce was told that there are only a few shelters with the mandate to help girls that have been trafficked into the sex trade, in the United States, she wanted to do something to make a difference. That is why we are partnering with the Los Angeles Dream Center. JMM has made a significant donation to open a shelter to rescue some of these girls. California has been hit hard by this horrible act of trafficking so it seemed like the right place to start. We hope to have girls in the program within the month.
