As night falls you can tangibly feel the fear sweep across this city. Somalia, a country at war with itself for over a decade, shows the effects everywhere. The poverty and desperation are obvious. Due to the danger we were escorted everywhere we went by 2 armed vehicles, 9 guards in total. We were never allowed to remain in any one place longer than 15 minutes. We are in one of the port cities where much of the pirate activity generates from. Hand of Hope has teamed up to dig 10 wells across this barren land. It seems like so little…Please pray for Somalia.
