Tom McKaskill - Director - Joyce Meyer Ministries Australia Southeast Queensland has been subjected to the worst flooding seen in more than 30 years from drenching rains that have been falling off and on since November. In addition, a recent major rainstorm created what has been termed an “Inland Tsunami” and is the cause for the most devastating act of nature ever experienced in this Australian state. Flood waters are expected to crest in Brisbane on Thursday, January 13. Tens of thousands of homes are under water and more than 100,000 homes are without power. Hand of Hope is the missions arm of Joyce Meyer Ministries. Our goal is simply to help as many hurting people as we possibly can, to alleviate human suffering and to help Christians grow in their faith.
Joyce Meyer Ministries’ Australia office located in Brisbane, along with several other ministries and churches, is working to help set up Carepoints in some of the worst affected areas. These Carepoints are designed to minister hope through the distribution of food, clothing, and blankets to those that have been impacted by this devastating disaster. Please pray for the families whose lives have been turned upside down by this unprecedented flooding.
