MIRACLE IN PERU

Ashley Wilkins

Medical Outreach Coordinator

Today was our second day of outreach here in Peru. Angel, the boy in the photo, was brought into the clinic today by his Father. Angel survived the earthquake that shook Peru last August, but was so traumatized by the quake that he had not spoken since and only responded with grunts. His family lost their business and home in the earthquake so there was quite a bit of anxiety on them. But today, when his father woke, he felt that the Lord spoke to him and said, “Today is the day”. He knew then that he needed to bring Angel to the clinic. Jason, one of our volunteers and the local pastor here prayed for him and Angel began to speak! His father was crying and telling everyone what a miracle this was. Praise God for healing this little boy!

PERU MEDICAL MISSIONS OUTREACH

Ashley Wilkins

Medical Outreach Coordinator

Our first clinic here in Peru went so well yesterday. Thirty Peruvian doctors showed up to help us, so joining efforts with them helped us make a huge impact here. We saw 847 general medicine patients, 450 dental patients and had 450 salvations! God is so good! We had a great time of devotion yesterday morning and that set the tone for the rest of the day’s ministry. We are on the bus now, on our way to day two of the clinic. Expecting good things!

CAMBODIA UPDATE: Buses Ready for Children at Dump Site

Scott Norling

JMM Asia Director

After witnessing the hundreds of Cambodian children who survive on the refuse of others as they picked through a giant mound of metal, glass, discarded paper and rotting food, it became immediately apparent something must be done to help them live a better life.

Phnom Phen is home to many children who live on the edge, living in a cycle of poverty most in the western world can barely imagine let alone describe, even after witnessing it first hand. How do you make someone understand there are 4, 5 and 6 year old children working in garbage heaps with the hope they will make a mere 25 cents to help their families buy food for the day; or watch a 13-year-old boy scavenge through a pile of rotting garbage with a small light attached to his forehead searching for scrap metal and bits of paper to sell?

We wanted to establish a place of refuge where these children could come, enjoy a nutritious meal, take a shower and learn some basic reading and writing skills. We made the outreach mobile and outfitted a number of buses to travel each day of the week to help meet the needs of these children. Thank the Lord for the opportunity to minister to His children in this way.

“They can see clearly now”

Ashley Wilkins

Medical Outreach Coordinator

Joyce Meyer Ministries began a campaign to collect new or used eyeglasses to distribute to people around the world who may never be able to afford eyeglasses. The response has been incredible, and we have been receiving eyeglasses in mass quantities. Thousands of you have donated and we have been amazed by your generosity.

So often those who are not able to afford a doctor, much less a pair of eyeglasses, walk around in a blurry world. They just accept the fact that this is how life will be. But thanks to you who have given, there are thousands of people around the world who are now blessed to see clearly.

Currently, we have received over 25,000 pairs of eyeglasses! Eyeglasses from this campaign have already been distributed in Haiti and Mexico and we will continue to distribute where the need is great.

We at Joyce Meyer Ministries are so very thankful for you and your generosity!

UPDATE FROM RUSSIA

House of Mercy Feeding Program
JMM Russia Office

This month, we met two new people in our feeding outreach. They told us how they had lost their jobs a year before and had been kicked out of an apartment they were renting. All winter they had been searching for a job but without an address, no one would hire them. As we spoke with them, they prayed to accept Jesus into their hearts. They agreed to come to church with us on Sunday. Three days later, they both found jobs and places to live! God is rescuing people in Moscow and we thank you for making this possible.
